Alternative Copyright Source

Introduction

Following customer feedback we have made an improvement to the Concierge within Talis Aspire Digitised Content (TADC) so that even when the CLA approves a request, you may have full permission from another source (eg. the Academic is the author or rights holder and wishes to use the full work).

The development was made to allow institutions to indicate requests that, although CAN be cleared in the CLA licence, the copyright was in fact outside of the CLA licence and can therefore be excluded from the report.

Alternative Copyright Source

When you are on the request view in TADC, you will see a new option to select "Alternative Copyright Source".

Select this to bring up the following modal window:

Select the source from the drop down and add a comment with details related to this. Complete the request by uploading or sourcing a copy.
