You may notice at times that digitisation requests may appear to be missing numbers in the sequence. This does not mean that a request has been 'lost'.
Skipped numbers can happen when a user refreshes their screen/clicks back in their browser or disconnected somehow before the request goes through in Talis Aspire. In these scenarios, a number may have been allocated even though the request wasn't fully submitted. This would have been obvious to the requestor and it can be assumed that, if intended, they would have requested the digitisation again.
If you notice a request number is skipped in the sequence, it may be worth contacting the user who made requests around the missing request number to identify if they have had any difficulties.
