What is a SLUG?
A SLUG is used to make a name that is not acceptable for various reasons - e.g. containing special characters, too long, mixed-case appropriate for the target usage. So in the context of time periods in Talis Aspire Reading Lists (TARL) here is a typical example:
Display name = Academic Year 2016/17
SLUG = 2016-17
How can I identify a particular time period SLUG that being used in my reading lists?
To identify the time period SLUG associated with the time periods in your reading lists, complete the following:
- Access a list attached to that time period, go onto your list URL, for example: https://broadminster.rl.talis.com/lists/D8A3E02F-58BC-CFB0-778A-8ED9F27D7E6A.html
- Change the .html at the end of the URL to .json, for example:
