At Talis we like to ensure that the communication we are sending you is relevant and of use to you in your role at your university. This article outlines the main communication routes, both mailing lists and newsletters, that we send to you on a regular basis.
Newsletters
Talis News - a monthly newsletter that goes to all our Talis contacts, here you will find out about upcoming events - both face-to-face and webinars, links to blog posts of interest, new customers, new members of Talis and lots more.
Talis Product and Services Update - a monthly newsletter for practitioners to keep you updated with any new releases to the systems, update on the process with new enhancements, new support articles, new bookmark recognisers, future webinars, and time-sensitive guidance eg. at the beginning of an academic year.
Talis mailing lists
We have four mailing lists that are used to alert you to Service Announcements, these may be in Talis Aspire Reading Lists or in Talis Aspire Digitised Content. Service Announcements may be an issue with Talis Aspire or one of our providers that may be affecting you.
To ensure that you are receiving relevant announcements for your geographical region we have created four mailing lists:
- Talis Aspire Service Announcements - APAC (Asia Pacific)
- Talis Aspire Service Announcements - Canada
- Talis Aspire Service Announcements - RoW (those customers outside the UK, Canada and APAC)
- Talis Aspire Service Announcements - UK
Community mailing lists
Alongside the above mailing lists we have lis-talis-aspire, a JISC community mailing list that allows all customers to email and have discussions. Topics we see covered in this list range from academic engagement to bookmarking to process advice. If you haven't already, please sign up for the JISC mailing list.
Talis Developer Community
Relevant to all those who are interested and have responsibility for technical development at your university. We host our Developer Community events via Discord. To learn more, please visit this article: TfS Community Space uses the Discord platform.
