Introduction
We have introduced a feature which enables universities to optionally choose to hide the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Available Online link whilst still retaining the DOI as Metadata.
DOI display
The default behaviour is to show the DOI as Available Online, and additionally display the DOI data within the item metadata as shown below:
The ability to hide the DOI Available Online link has been included in reading lists in response to feedback - simply raise a support ticket to discuss this option.
If this is activated, it would auto-hide the link for all articles and does not require any further actions from your users when bookmarking.

DOI and the View Online Button
The DOI will continue to be used for the View Online button on existing bookmarks where this has been selected as the view online source.
New bookmarks will continue to use the DOI as the view online source in line with your preference order. For more information on this, please see our support article: How the view online button works
