How do I make my list private?

The default privacy setting for reading lists is public so that everyone can see your lists, however there may be times when you don't wish for people outside of your institution to see a list. This article will guide you through how you can make your list private.

Making a list private means that only someone from your institution with authenticated access can see your list.  This is set on a list-by-list basis.

To set your list as private follow these steps:

Classic list view:

  1. navigate to list view,
  2. click the 'Edit' drop down,
  3. select 'Privacy Control',
  4. choose either 'Everyone' or 'Only logged in users'.

New list view:

  1. navigate to the list view,
  2. click the 'Edit' drop down,
  3. select 'Edit list details',
  4. Under 'Who can view list list' choose either 'Everyone' or 'Only logged in users'.
