Talis Insight Europe 2017
Great to see so many of you at Talis Insight Europe 2017, and for those that couldn’t make it, no need to miss out on the content. Please find all content here.

Making changes at your university?
Please do remember to tell us if you plan to make changes to any of the systems we integrate with, such as Library Management Systems, OPAC, Discovery systems, Link Resolvers or Identity Providers.  A change to these without speaking to us first may cause issues with the use of the Talis Aspire Reading Lists and Talis Aspire Digitised Content.  Giving us notice of these changes means we can discuss the process and options, schedule consultancy or support if required so there is no impact to your student, academic, or library colleague users.

Releases of interest
Stay up to date with our releases by regularly visiting our Product Update page where you can view all release information including all improvements or fixes released in Talis Aspire.  This site is available from the top navigation bar on the Talis Support site.  Releases that you may be particularly interested in are:

  • Dates when invitations within the system are being selected now show the correct dates rather than dates in the future.
  • If you are a user of Talis Aspire Digitised Content and use the Copyright Agency (CAL) as your copyright licence agency you will be pleased to know that the CAL report now includes withdrawn items.
  • ISSNs are now not causing “invalid” requests.

Community Contributions
Our Community Contributions continue to grow. If you have something you wish to share with others, from a time saving top-tips to making the most of Google Analytics, then please let us know by raising a support ticket.

Rollover – best practice and what’s new!
Rolling over your Talis Aspire Reading Lists and Talis Aspire Digitised Content is fairly straight forward, however, there are some guidelines that you must follow in order to be successful. This webinar will provide you with useful tips and the chance to ask any questions you may have or share your past experience with others. We ran the first one of these yesterday, and will be providing an up-to-date recording, but don’t miss the re-run for the opportunity to ask questions.
