This article explains how to export a reading list from Talis Aspire Reading Lists (TARL) as a Research Information Systems (RIS) file. This RIS file can be imported into your reference management tool, or used to add bulk resources to your 'My bookmarks' area and even create a new reading list.
How to export a reading list in RIS format
- If you're a student user, you will see a 'View and Export' button at the top of a list. If you have the Edit Lists permission, this button will say 'View'. Click on this and select 'As student' which will change the button to 'View and export' and also the options it contains.
- Click on the 'View and Export' button and select 'RIS'.
- This saves a RIS file of the reading list to your computer.
For information on RIS fields, please see the mapping RIS fields to Talis Aspire support article.
